Study Task 3 - Research on Packaging desgn:

These  packaging designs where found on
www.lovelypackage.com

The package design above shows great layout, as you can see the large amount of text on the back of the package is laid out in a way that maximises readability and legibility by making sure no two letterforms come close to each other. This is achieved by good layout and a good choice of typeface. The only thing that I have picked up on that could be changed is the size of the typeface I believe readability and legibility could be further increased by a slight increase in type size.

In my opinion this design is so effective due to its simplicity, along with good choice of colour scheme. The colours used have a psychological effect on the viewer I have no idea if this was intended but the use of the colour green gives the design a natural feel, this goes well with the purpose of the package.

This packaging design was created for a range of chocolates, as you can see they have been beautifully designed, thought has been put into target market from my point of view this is obvious to me by the choice of colours. Both blue and pink have been used although highly stereotypical this still appeals to male and female. Innovative opening of the packaging gives the design a real professional feel.

This was my favourite of these packaging designs due to the simplicity of the design. Simplicity is what is needed for the product a first aid package needs to be to the point and in no way confusing. I believe this has been executed to a professional standard, the design has an overall clean finish along with the colour green - could symbolise health in this case.
I believe the clean feel is given off by the use of a large amount of white space. I will keep this in mind when creating designs in the future.
