Time management:

Time management:
We initially had a workshop on time management, this was extremely helpful for me as i feel this is a huge part of my practice i must improve on. We where informed on how important time management is not only for your practice but also for your persona/ social life.

The fist sheets that we worked with where introduced to where the four directly below, for these we simply split up all the aspects that we considered most important in our Domestic, Social and life as a designer we put each aspect into its own individual box and gave each action a percentage or time that we spent on each one per week.
This was  a great eye opener for me as i realised some aspects that i dont feel are really that important but i do all of the time and this prevents me from working: for example the amount of time i spend procrastinating on social network sites and the internet in general.

We then went onto write down activities that we take part in within our Social Domestic and BAGD life:

My Time management sheets: By this point on the course i have already started to produce daily to do lists however i felt that as these sheets where much more direct giving tasks specific times during the day. As you can see below my initial sheets where very rough and ugly causing a lot of confusion to whether the tasks had been completed or not. And to what task was my priority due to deadlines.

However i found a simple method around this simply just by creating a key at the top of the page and by colour coding my to do list i knew what needed to be done and when it needed doing.

My Daily Routine

7.30-8.00 : Wake up/ shower grab something to eat.
8.30 : look at my to do list and check emails understand what the day consists of
8.45 : Once at college get anything sorted that i may need for the workshop
9.30 : Prepared for workshops
12- 12.30 : grab an earlly lunch to avoid the rush and to save time.
1.00- 3.00 : Workshop
4pm + : Stay in studios for as long as possible, Keep up to date with work and take advantage of the supplies given to me.
